Located just a 2-minute walk from the town centre, our vibrant riverside pub sits on the banks of the beautiful River Wye, the gateway to the Wye Valley. With stunning gardens and flexible indoor dining across two levels for up to 175 guests, our venue also caters for private functions and seasonal outdoor events alongside our wonderful resturant and outside diving space.
Spring and summer bring our gardens to life, with wood-fired pizzas, BBQs, live music evenings, and our daytime hut serving freshly made paninis, cakes, ice cream and quality coffee.

Key Requirements (based on experience):
Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences
Ability to cook and prepare high-quality dishes consistently
Willingness to contribute ideas for new menu items and seasonal specials
Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
Confidence working with stock control and ordering processes
Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
Your Responsibilities May Include:
Producing delicious, well-presented dishes to an excellent standard
Helping to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organisation
Supporting junior members of the team
Working shifts across breakfast, lunch and dinner services on a rota
Operating within all company health, safety and food safety policies

Permanent, full-time role with varied shifts - Part time seasonal also available
28 days holiday (inclusive)

The Hope & Anchor is a beautiful riverside pub, restaurant & inn nestled in the heart of Ross-On-Wye with multiple dining options for customers including a traditional pub bar and a modern cocktail bar, two restaurants, a riverside hut serving those on the go, and a spacious garden with outdoor seating including a Bandstand and all-weather tent area, both of which can house entertainment. We also have 12 beautiful recently refurbished riverside en-suite rooms available, with breakfast included and served in the pub.
Having joined the Country House Weddings portfolio in 2020, we are backed by over 30 years of experience when it comes to catering, customer service, and event planning and management. Giving our customers the peace of mind that they will be well looked after during their time with us.
