The Ivy Club

We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team of our classic private members club, The Ivy Club.

The Ivy Club is a private members’ club set over three floors above The Ivy restaurant. The Club offers a relaxing space for members, often from the arts and media industries, to work and socialise and offers a discreet and attentive service with a menu reflective of The Ivy’s food heritage. The Club benefits from its own restaurant, The Drawing Room, a Piano Bar serving an all-day menu, and The Loft which is a more informal area perfect for casual meetings, working and club events.

The key responsibilities of the  Assistant Restaurant Manager include:

Working effectively with the GM & Director to ensure the Club runs smoothly, revenue opportunities are maximised and our members needs are met.

Lead the team by example; adopting a hands-on, can do, nothing is too much, approach.

Ensure all members and their guests receive the highest levels of service at all times of the day.

Effective management of the floor ensuring the team are fully trained in all aspects of the club and each service runs
smoothly.

Ensure any member complaints are handled effectively and professionally and all members leave with a positive experience.

Work effectively with the Kitchen, Maître d’ and Bar Teams ensuring seamless service and good communication across departments at all times.

Proactively work and support the Club senior management team to develop the business.

Participating in idea generation to assist in the development of the restaurant and to keep our members returning.


The ideal candidate for the Assistant Restaurant Manager will have following skills and experience:

Solid experience as a Assistant Restaurant Manager in a private members club or busy, high quality restaurant environment is highly desirable.

Previous experience within a premium quality customer facing environment is essential.
A genuine passion for creating an excellent guest experience.
The ability to multi task and effectively react to changing member / guest needs.

Immaculate presentation and excellent command of the English language as well as strong communication skills.

An excellent team player with good administrative ability.

Experience of proactively working to support the management team to develop the business.
