Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Handyperson to join our Engineering team.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Handyperson, who has the ability to deliver 5* service at all times. It is essential to have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and great attention to detail. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent communication skills.

The main responsibilities of this Handyperson position are:
• To carry out minor repairs to building fabric and keep all front and back of house up to a high standard.
• To assist all other technicians in the team to carry out their work when instructed by the supervisors or requested by the technicians.
• To keep engineering workshop and all engineering areas clean and tidy to a high standard and complying with the hotel H & S guide lines.
• To assist the Shift Engineer on Duty to carry out work.
• To attend to any engineering requests that are passed over through the engineering line of communication set up in the department.
• To assist the Engineering Supervisor / Ass Chief Engineer/ Director of Engineering as and when required.
• To assist in ordering and maintaining stock levels of spares / items that are needed for work carried out.
• To undertake minor project work as and when required by the line manager.

The ideal candidate for the Handyperson requires the following:
• Good timekeeper
• Honest
• Adaptable
• Previous maintenance experience, in an hotel environment
• Familiar with UK Health & Safety legislation
