Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Technician to join our Engineering team.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Building Services Technician, who has the ability to deliver 5* service at all times. It is essential to have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and great attention to detail. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent communication skills.

The main responsibilities of this Building Services Technician position are:
• To carry out all routine maintenance of Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment installed in guest rooms. This includes but is not limited to cleaning/exchanging of filter media, cleaning evaporation coils, cleaning of fans and lubrication of motor bearings, changing of motors where necessary.
• To service rooms as directed according to the Rooms PPM sheet to the highest possible standard, and in accordance with The Landmark Hotel Five RED stars policy.
• To identify and report/repair any defects spotted whilst on duty. To carry out any maintenance in the domestic water, waste water systems.
• To carry out all routine maintenance of domestic water, chilled water or hot water systems plumbing and piping systems in guest rooms and all plants.
• To take ownership in keeping all working areas safe and tidy in order to create a safe working environment. Maintains a positive attitude towards the job at all times
• To maintain records of all Plant Preventative Maintenance (PPM) work and Performance tests carried in above-mentioned equipment.
• To maintain own stock of necessary spares so that down time is kept to the absolute minimum.

The ideal candidate for the Building Services Technician requires the following:
• Previous maintenance experience, in an hotel environment
• Familiar with UK Health & Safety legislation
• Familiar with UK standards with regard to mechanical and electrical repairs
