ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a passionate, creative and loyal Staff Restaurant Attendant to join our Kitchen Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a talented and welcoming team on a permanent basis, and help us to consistently deliver memorable moments and five star service to our guests and each other.

At The Landmark London, our purpose is to enrich the journeys of our people and our guests and as a Staff Restaurant Attendant, your main duties will include:

• To maintain the highest achievable standard of food, service and cleanliness of the staff dining facilities.
• To create a friendly and relaxing environment for our colleagues and maintain and enhance the wellbeing of our colleagues and facilities.
• To carry out all tasks as directed by your immediate supervisor/ manager and to assist in any other areas or duties within the canteen upon request.
• To work as an individual and as part of a team by assisting in the preparation of fresh salads for the salad counter every morning and to ensure there is enough for the dinner shift.
• To take ownership for the section. Complete a mis-en-plas list in order of priority and liaise with your supervisor.
• To control portion during service as instructed by the staff chef and that wastage is kept to a minimum and to ensure that correct stock rotation is evident throughout the service.
• To ensure there is enough food and choices on offer throughout the meal service, monitor consumption levels and call for back up in a timely manner.
• To ensure that all food on offer looks appealing and is appropriately garnished. If unsure ask the duty staff chef.
• To take ownership for fresh food and dry store orders on a daily basis. All orders are to be submitted to the staff chef by 12 noon after checking current stock levels and are to be in line with business needs.
• To maintain the cleanliness of the canteen at all times, this includes floors, walls, tables, chairs, service counters, drinks machines, kitchen area, wash up area, cutlery and crockery.
• To report any defects in cleanliness or maintenance to the relevant departments via your supervisor

As a Staff Restaurant Attendant, you will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on a shift rota.
