Chelsea Market staple, The Lobster Place is seeking a Front of House Manager for our dynamic 50-seat restaurant, Cull & Pistol & our booming Seafood Hall!

Since opening in 2013, we have quickly become a neighborhood staple among our customers. We’re known for delivering exceptional service and a seasonal menu that takes full advantage of the remarkably fresh and varied offerings from of our seafood market, The Lobster Place, located right next door!

You’re About:
• You have an innate passion for hospitality and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• You’re in tune with the guest experience – from the initial warm greeting, to thoughtful table-side recommendations, all the way until the fond farewell.
• You have a strong interest for local, crafted, seasonal beverage and food. You know the trends and look for ways to create unique spins that will leave our guests excited and team inspired!

About the Position:
The floor manager will work closely with the AGM and peers to execute quality, feel-good service and engage staff through active education and clearly defined goals. The ideal candidate will operate with a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, have a team mentality, and the ability to manage stressful situations with a smile.

As a member of the FOH Management team you will:
• Provide spirited oversight to all front of house functions in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment
• Maintain a curated, knowledgeable guest dining experience in a casual ambiance
• Promote positive, long-term staff retention through encouraging leadership and accountability
• Implement creative methods of ongoing food and beverage education
• Ensure that all guests expectations are exceeded and that every experience is a positive one
• Update and maintain service documents in accordance with company needs and dining trends
• Address issues head on with swift action and clear communication

About the Qualifications:
• A strong service & hospitality background with at least 2 years’ restaurant management experience
• A lead by example, hands on mentality
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communications skills
• A professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge with a strong interest in oysters and seafood
• A basic understanding of BOH Operations
• Experience with Toast, Upserve, Avero, and OpenTable
• Strong understanding of Excel and an excellent analysis skills
