We are currently hiring for a Wedding & Events Coordinator with proven experience in wedding/event management, to join the team at The Lodge at Ashford Castle.

Key responsibilities of the Wedding & Events Coordinator will include:
• Maximising & driving the wedding and conference business of the hotel
• Promotion and selling of the venue at every opportunity through client show-arounds, marketing events, co-ordinating the production of collateral and PR opportunities to achieve this
• Dealing with clients in person or via telephone & email and responding to all requests in a professional & timely manner, endeavouring to convert every call into a sale whilst providing the highest level of service, integrity and creativity
• The logging of all wedding/event enquiries in line with Red Carnation standards
• Clarification of all details pertaining to an event in writing, well in advance of the event
• Effectively communicating client’s expectations and requests accurately to all departments
• Preparation & distribution of weekly function sheets, and hosting function sheet meetings
• Ensuring that all quotes and contracts are accurate and presented to each client to the agreed company standards
• Providing support in other areas of the venue as necessary including but not limited to front office and event management
• Overseeing each client experience from initial enquiry stage to post event stage
• Issuing reports to Senior Managers and Executives as per deadlines
The ideal candidate for the Wedding & Events Coordinator position should:
• Have successfully graduated with a Hospitality, or Sales & Marketing related degree
• Have previous experience in a similar positon within the Hotel/Event industry
• Possess a positive attitude, outgoing, extremely friendly with appreciation for brand driven standards
• Experience dealing with brides and grooms
• Proven track record in sales performance with clear ability to convert business
• Target driven with excellent presentation and negotiation skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have excellent organisational skills & attention to detail
• Good ability to handle pressurised situations and busy periods
• Be flexible, innovative and adaptable
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel as well as the ability to learn and utilise new computer software programs
• Be legally eligible to work in Ireland
