The Mayflower is a traditional pub with beautiful bedrooms, located in the picturesque harbour town of Lymington in the New Forest. Whether you’re stopping by for a pint, tucking into a delicious locally sourced supper, or settling in for a coastal escape, there’s always a warm welcome.

On the menu, it’s all about traditional pub food created with the finest seasonal and local produce, and the best Sunday roasts in the area. Behind the bar, you’ll find a cracking range of cask ale and craft beer, plus local cider and a great wine selection. Outside, our beer garden is ideal for al fresco drinking and dining – perfect for a laidback lunch, or a few pints of Butcombe in the sunshine.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the Head Chef in producing high-quality food in line with company food brief.
• Assuming full responsibility for kitchen operations during the absence of the Head Chef, managing duties such as rota management, food safety protocols, and cleaning schedules.
• Ensuring the food service meets and enhances customer expectations, embodying our company values: Set the Bar High, From the Heart, Raise the Spirits, and Make us the Talk of the Town.
• Assisting in maintaining gross profit margins through menu planning, stock control, portion management, and menu pricing.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and fire safety regulations within the kitchen.
• Assisting in ongoing training and development of kitchen team members.
