The Mercer Kitchen is currently seeking individuals for the Restaurant Manager position.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow in the hospitality industry. The perfect candidate will possess "hands-on" fine dining service skills, attention to detail, commitment to hospitality and the ability to be a leader.
Ideal Candidates would have the following:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent phone skills, customer service oriented and proactive. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Is friendly, engaging, gracious, has the ability to focus and connect with all guests at all levels and employees and exceed their expectations
• Participates in teamwork and assists other departments when needed
• Maintains a fun and enthusiastic attitude at all times
• Passion for food & beverage
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Detail oriented
• Computer literacy to include: Aloha, Micros, Microsoft Office, OpenTable, Resy
• Basic Office experience, including answering telephone calls, assisting members and guest with computer issues
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• FULL AVAILABILITY- daytime hours, evening hours and weekends
• A minimum of two years’ experience in fine dining

Located at the Mercer hotel, Mercer Kitchen brings a chic, sophisticated vibe to the heart of SoHo. Exposed brick walls, long banquettes, and candlelit sconces give the place a timelessly stylish, sexy, fun ambiance. Mercer Kitchen was one of the first restaurants in New York City to have a communal table, which remains popular to this day. Chef Jean‑Georges' American menu features market-driven, seasonal ingredients prepared in a simple yet elegant style, with favorites like the Tuna Spring Roll, Steamed Shrimp Salad, wood-fired pizzas, and classic Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake.
