Maintenance

You are passionate about the venue you work in and you see the importance of keeping a clean, tidy, safe and effective workplace for the team to work in back of house. You also see equal importance in keeping the front of house wonderfully warm, inviting and immaculately presented at all times.

You have proven experience working within the field of maintenance & repairs. You must also have a keen attention to detail and a great communicator to work as part of the wider team.

Working within venue risk assessments and handyman restricted operations policy; you will use your initiative to solve problems using both your practical skills and knowledge of repairs of commercial property and equipment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct general venue maintenance and manage associated contracts
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing / carpentry
  • Wall tiling and painting & decorating skills
  • Happy to work on your own initiative
  • Communicate effectively with both the public and work colleagues
  • Be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions relevant to your area of work.
  • Adhere to all current legislation pertaining to fire, health and safety regarding the work place
  • Maintaining health and safety standards in line with all venue risk assessments and handyman operational exemptions
  • Manage grounds and gardens, or the relationship with those contractors
  • An organised record keeping, confident in the use of software such as trail to record and update the status of tasks. 
  • You are ready to learn!  - You will be given training in the form of online courses and reading as well we on the job coaching; be ready and willing to absorb lots of information to help you become the best you can be!
