We are seeking a creative and dedicated Pastry Commis Chef to join our talented pastry kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a high-end environment, working under the guidance of our experienced Head Pastry Chef.

Location: Kensington, London

The Milestone Hotel and Residences part of the Red Carnation Hotels , is a beautiful five star hotel located opposite Kensington Palace Gardens and close to The Royal Albert Hall. This property has 43 individually designed bedrooms, 13 luxury suites and 6 long-stay apartments, a classic lounge area for Afternoon Tea, a modern Stables Bar and a 2 Rosettes restaurant, named Cheneston's.  

Key Responsibilities of a Pastry Commis Chef:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Prepare all pastry items to the required standard and specification.
  • Maintain the highest levels of health, safety, and hygiene in the pastry section.
  • Take responsibility for securing the pastry kitchen when on late duty.
  • Ensure the pastry section remains clean, safe, and well-organised always.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a professional pastry kitchen.
  • A passion for pastry and dessert creation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work well within a team and perform under pressure.
