Ready to step up and shape the future of a kitchen? We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our passionate Kitchen team at The Mill Hotel and take the next exciting step in their hospitality career. The Mill Hotel is a 62 bedroom hotel overlooking the meadows, with a lively restaurant, busy bar and extensive outdoor seating. The Gainsborough Room brings an extra buzz, hosting events and private functions that keep the kitchen busy and varied. 

What You’ll Get Stuck Into as our Sous Chef:

  • Creating, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes – running and leading sections while coordinating smooth service.
  • Supporting the Head Chef by mentoring and developing less experienced team members
  • Managing wastage, portions and time efficiencies
  • Jumping onto any section when needed to ensure seamless service
  • Working closely with other departments to delivery a smooth guest experience
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times

  • A passion for quality ingredients and mouth-watering flavour combinations
