Job Title:          Revenue Manager

Department:  Commercial 

Reports to:     Director of Sales and Marketing

This position offers the opportunity of hybrid working.

Here at The Mole Resort we have launched a brand new, fantastic resort set in 120 acres of beautiful Devon countryside, jam-packed with delicious food and drink and a whole lot of exciting activities. On top of that we have a range of brand new modern lodges which are truly amazing.

An exciting opportunity as Revenue Manager has arisen, which provides a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to become a key player in making this business successful.

General Scope of Role

Responsibility for leading the team in planning and implementing strategic policies and procedures to ensure the maximum revenue is achieved across all segments and revenue streams including accommodation, M&E and F&B.

This will be achieved through market intelligence, commercial analysis, decision support, pricing implementation and inventory management in rooms, M&E and F&B. The role will also be responsible for controlling all aspects of channel management and control GDS systems whilst managing all reservations systems in conjunction with domestic and international partners.

Key Responsibilities   

  • Distribution and Channel Management: Comprehensive understanding and management of distribution processes across all channels for hotels and lodges
  • Team Performance and Efficiency: Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the top-line teams, optimising revenue lines and executing sales strategies effectively.
  •   Pricing and Inventory Optimisation: Identify and act on opportunities in pricing and inventory management to enhance revenue performance.
  • Systems Management: Implement and maintain systems to ensure all revenue potential is maximised, conducting regular checks and updates. 
  • Revenue Systems Utilisation: Use all systems & tools, (PMS, Channel Manager, CRS/Booking engine, Upsell Tool, RM tools etc) to analyse market changes, manage daily inventory, and maximise yield and department revenue. 
  • Budgeting and Revenue Segments: Support detailed annual budget completion for all revenue segments, including Rooms, F&B, Room Hire, and Sales. 
  • Forecasting and Reporting Accuracy: Ensure integrity in forecasting, reporting, analysis, and evaluation of all commercial KPIs.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing: Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure proactive sales strategies are implemented and supported. 
  • Measurement and Analysis Tools: Develop and refine tools to support data analysis and strategic changes.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and act on areas of risk and opportunity promptly.
  • Market Share Growth: Drive growth in hotel market share in both RevPAR and TrevPAR.
  • Competitor and Market Awareness: Maintain strong knowledge of competitor activities and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed.
