We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Linen Keeper to join our Housekeeping team at our luxury hotel. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort.

Location: The Montague on the Gardens, London 

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days off)

Salary: £26,683 per annum.

The Montague on the Gardens Hotel part of the Red Carnation Hotels, is a four star deluxe hotel located in the heart of London’s elegant Bloomsbury. This Georgian townhouse features 100 individually designed bedrooms and suites, a Leopard Bar, the Blue Door Bistro restaurant, a wood deck terrace and several function rooms. It is famous for al-fresco dining, including an alpine themed Ski Lodge in the winter and a Hawaiian Beach Bar in the summer. 

Key Responsibilities of a Linen Keeper:

  • Receive, sort, and classify linens according to type and condition.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all linens and laundry supplies.
  • Oversee the laundering process to ensure all items are cleaned and treated properly.
  • Distribute linens to various departments as required.
  • Inspect linens regularly for wear and tear and report damaged items for repair or disposal.
  • Ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Track the usage and return of linens to prevent loss and maintain sufficient stock levels.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or professional housekeeping environment
  • A strong work ethic with attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to high standards
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
