The Nags Head is a beautiful 15th century hotel and gastropub situated outside the village of Great Missenden and is one of the oldest pubs in the area. Inside you'll find a cozy and welcoming interior with exposed wooden beams, an open fireplace, and a rustic ambiance the harkens back to it's historical roots. The pub has always been renowned for it's fresh, seasonal dishes, being a firm favourite with customers from all over Buckinghamshire and further afield.

The job in a nutshell

  • Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard across your section

  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety practices

  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in day-to-day operations

  • Contribute to menu development with seasonal and creative ideas

  • Help train and guide junior kitchen staff

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis ready to step up

  • A genuine love of cooking and attention to detail

  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

  • A calm head under pressure and a drive to continuously improve

  • Food hygiene certificate (Level 2 minimum preferred)
