Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: An Events Manager with The ONE Group is responsible for business development, building relationships, and event preparation and execution. This position is also responsible for liaising with local operations and corporate team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research market to identify opportunities for events
• Participate in the organization of in-house and outside promotional events
• Responsible for coordination of outside event services such as security, step and repeats, photographer, etc.
• Coordinate and manage all charity events, social events, and cash bar events with the General Manager and Executive Chef
• Assist and oversee day of event setup and logistics; Oversee operation of events to completion to ensure proper execution
• Coordinate and assist National Director of Events with all sales
• Develop new business strategy and initiatives; including sales calls
• Solicit both promotional & corporate paid events
• Arrange site visits and attend walk-thrus with Client(s)
• Input event details into Management Database (hold date, client contact information, etc.)
• Write contracts following approved parameters (approved by National Director of Events)
• Create detailed Banquet Event Orders
• Submit Weekly Events Report which include: List of events from previous week and upcoming week, previous week's revenue, forecast revenues for the upcoming week, upcoming month


REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-3 years experience working in a similar role OR in a luxury hotel/catering company with event revenues of $1.5 million or more
• Experience with on-site event execution is required; off-site event execution highly desired
• Exceptional communication and follow up skills
• The ability to work a flexible schedule and 8+ hours / day
