Summary 

Are you passionate about unlocking potential and driving success through innovative learning experiences? At The Other House, we’re looking for a dynamic Learning & Development Manager to shape the future of our team through strategic, high-impact training and development initiatives. 

This role is at the heart of our People strategy, working closely with Heads of Department, Operations Line Managers, and the wider People team to empower individuals, foster career progression, and ensure our training supports the overall business strategy. What You’ll Be Doing: 

As our Learning & Development Manager, you’ll design, implement, and deliver bespoke training programs that enhance leadership, business skills, and personal growth at every level of our organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to: 

  • Develop and lead strategic training initiatives that align with our company’s goals. 

  • Build and deliver the pre and post opening training experience for our newest opening, Covent Garden 

  • Shape the learning journey for every new employee, from Induction through to their progression through their TOH career  

  • Create and implement bespoke and external training programs to upskill our teams. 

  • Coach and support leaders, helping them become effective trainers within their own teams. 

  • Shape and refine performance management processes, ensuring employees thrive and progress. 

  • Oversee e-learning platforms and third-party training resources, making learning accessible and engaging. 

  • Ensure HR compliance and employment law training are embedded in our culture. 

  • Manage Apprenticeship Programmes, providing valuable career pathways. 

  • Monitor and manage training budgets effectively. 

  • Report on training impact, using data to drive improvements and action plans. 

Essential skills: 

  • A motivational, inspiring leader with an open and approachable management style. 

  • A natural coach, able to engage employees at all levels and encourage participation. 

  • Confident and articulate public speaker, comfortable delivering training to diverse audiences. 

  • Highly organised and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 

  • Tech-savvy, with strong Microsoft Office skills and experience using online learning platforms. 

  • A track record of designing and delivering engaging training materials, including e-learning, coaching, and tutorials. 

  • Experience in embedding company culture, values, and people management training. 

  • Previous experience in a start-up or independent business, implementing training and systems from scratch while improving existing strategies. 

Desirable: 

  • Ability to conduct learning needs analysis and tailor training solutions accordingly. 

  • Experience working across multiple departments and managing stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Passion for introducing innovative training approaches to drive engagement and results. 

  • Previous Apprenticeship Scheme management experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • CIPD Level 5 in Learning & Development (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
