We have an opportunity for a Bar Manager to join our talented team at The Parakeet.

Located in a restored Victorian pub in the heart of Kentish Town, we offer a menu of fire-led small plates under the direction of Chef Ben Allen. Since opening, The Parakeet has been widely recognised as one of London’s most exciting new restaurant openings—named among Squaremeal’s Top 100 Restaurants, the Top 50 Gastropubs, and reviewed with critical acclaim by Giles Coren and Jimi Famurewa.

We’re looking for a Bar Manager who leads with warmth, confidence, and a passion for heartfelt hospitality. Working closely with the AGM and General Manager, you’ll guide the bar team to deliver great drinks and memorable guest experiences every time.

What you’ll do:

• Lead bar service with energy, care, and a guest-first attitude

• Train and develop the team, with a focus on confidence, consistency, and growth

• Manage rotas, stock, and ordering efficiently and in line with budget

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and regular check-ins to help the team thrive

• Deliver clear, motivating team briefs and maintain high service standards

• Help create a culture where everyone feels welcome, supported, and valued

What we’re looking for:

• Bar management experience in a quality-driven, fast-paced environment

• A natural leader who brings structure, empathy, and positivity to the team

• Strong product knowledge, especially cocktails, spirits, and draught

• Calm under pressure and solutions-focused

• Someone who takes pride in personal service and enjoys developing others
