Chef – The Pier View (Daytime & Evening Roles Available)
Advertised via The Park View – Positions based at The Pier View, Worthing Seafront

We’re excited to be launching The Pier View, a newly refurbished seafront venue in Worthing, and we’re currently recruiting two chefs to join our kitchen team. These are shift-based roles — one covering daytime hours, and one covering evening shifts.

Although this advert is listed via our sister site, The Park View, the roles are specifically based at The Pier View.


About the Role:

As a chef at The Pier View, you will work directly with the General Manager in a small, organised kitchen team. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, suited to chefs who take pride in producing high-quality food and maintaining excellent hygiene and organisation.

You will often be working solo or with one other team member, so being confident, structured, and proactive is essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations during your shift, ensuring efficient service and high food standards

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to specification, maintaining consistency and quality

  • Maintain a clean, organised kitchen at all times, adhering to all hygiene and safety procedures

  • Manage prep and cleaning schedules, ensuring readiness for the next shift

  • Monitor and rotate stock, assist with ordering, and help reduce food waste

  • Work closely with the General Manager to support the delivery of a successful food offering

  • Remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly during busy periods


Shift Details:

  • Daytime Chef: Morning through afternoon (approx. breakfast/lunch service)

  • Evening Chef: Afternoon through dinner service

Exact hours will be discussed during the interview process and can be adjusted depending on experience and availability.

  • Confidence working independently or in a small team
