Sales and Events Manager


Description
Since 2012, the Penrose has been the go-to local of the Upper East Side. The Penrose is part of Sleeping Giant NY (harri.com/sleeping-giant-ny), a family of independently operated bars united by a shared work culture and the chance for employees to grow and explore opportunities across different locations. We are currently looking for an Event Manager to join our team.

WHO YOU ARE:
- Experience in NYC hospitality industry
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
- Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
- Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Warm, friendly, and hospitable disposition
- Team player with a roll up your sleeves attitude
- Open availability - including nights and weekends
- Exceptional organizational skills & attention to detail
- NYC event planning experience
- Experience using TripleSeat preferred

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Handle all aspects booking and executing private events
- Work closely with management team and chef to oversee the schedule, logistics, staffing and overall success of every event
- Promptly respond to all incoming event inquiries and client follow ups
- Track relevant sales data
- Explore new markets, targeting larger event budgets
- Plan and manage public and ticketed events
- Floor management shifts as needed
