The Role

We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join the team at The Princess Royal, our stunning destination pub and dining room in Notting Hill. Known for its Mediterranean-inspired menus, elegant garden terrace, and welcoming atmosphere, The Princess Royal combines refined food and drink with a true sense of hospitality.

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead a passionate team, uphold the highest service standards, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and leadership to every shift, helping your team grow while ensuring the smooth, successful running of one of our flagship pubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business.
• Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain operational excellence across service, guest experience, and financial performance.
• Drive sales and profitability through effective team leadership and strategic planning.
• Build strong relationships with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Uphold Cubitt House standards of quality, consistency, and warm hospitality.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or similar leadership role in a premium hospitality environment.
• A genuine passion for food, drink, and exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop others.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail.
• The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced setting while maintaining composure and professionalism.
• A desire to learn, grow, and progress within a respected hospitality group.
