The Role

We’re looking for a General Manager to join the team at The Princess Royal.

As a General Manager, you’ll lead the pub from the front, ensuring seamless operations, exceptional service, and an outstanding guest experience. You’ll manage the team with energy and professionalism, championing Cubitt House’s culture, values, and commitment to hospitality excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop the front-of-house team to deliver world-class hospitality.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service, operational efficiency, and adherence to standards.

• Drive business performance through effective cost control, team management, and customer satisfaction.

• Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and professionalism throughout the pub.

• Collaborate with chefs and suppliers to ensure a seamless dining and drinks experience.

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, licensing, and other regulatory standards.

• Support recruitment, training, and development initiatives to grow talent within the team.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Pub Manager, or Operations Manager in a luxury hospitality environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

• Excellent organisational, financial, and communication abilities.

• Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.

• Experience in driving business performance and operational efficiency.

• Hands-on, adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
