Key Purpose of the role:
Full responsibility for
managing and leading the operations of the restaurant; from the day to day
management of the business, both front and back of house, to executing all
financial, operational and safety obligations to the highest standards. The General
Manager should adopt a business owner approach and will always create a
customer focused environment, anticipating customer and team needs along with
enthusiasm and professionalism, in order to drive repeat business, success and
brand loyalty.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all day-to-day store operations to ensure all business standards are met, both front of house and back of house.
• Creating clear and SMART short and long term business plans that maximise sales and performance in line with budgets and forecast and other business metrics.
• Ensuring all team are well briefed on their responsibilities and given ongoing training, supervision, and information to motivate them in all aspects of their work.
• Conduct management and team meetings, ensuring thorough cascade of actions and required outcomes.
• Building and maintaining a capable team, identifying succession plans and recruitment needs all driven towards achieving the business objectives.
• Take responsibility to ensure that all employees are trained to the company standards and legal requirements.
• Full accountability of the allergen procedures.
• Meeting Company’s financial expectations, managing cost control without compromising standards and the customers experience.
• Work alongside your Area/ Operations Manager and wider team to build local marketing initiatives.
• Delivering our food and drink to specification, understanding the importance of quality and consistency.
• All guest complaints are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
• Lead, develop and coach all team members.
• Ensure that all audit/ inspection requirements are adhered to, including Health & Safety and Food Safety Audits, Stock management, Financial Audits and Environmental Health visits.
• Ensure that you comply with legislation regarding Security, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Licensing laws and as per training provided.
• Motivate the team through recognition and positive feedback.
• Accountable for the overall day to day management, for both front of house and back of house displaying a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
