Conceived by famous hotelier César Ritz in May 1906, with the aim of becoming the ultimate destination for guests looking to stay at the most luxurious hotel in the land, no expense was spared on its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our hotel as Assistant Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be committed to represent the hotel as The Manager in the absence of the General Manager and Leadership Team, and ensure the safe running of the hotel. As an Assistant Manager, responsibilities also include:

  • To ensure there is a visual management presence at all times and in particular when there are VIPs / special events 
  • To provide continuity of management in complaint handling.  After direct contact with a guest an accurate account is to be recorded on the agreed templates with relevant investigation and replied to within 48 hours.  Outcome and response must be circulated to the General Manager and Leadership Team member
  • Ensuring, through floor patrols and room checks that the hotel is operating to the highest standards.  Any areas of weaknesses must be reported to the relevant departments and follow-up actioned
  • To ensure that an accurate DM log, providing a written log of the day’s events, is maintained to report to General Manager and Leadership Team
  • To be well-versed and compliant with all elements of security and develop an informed level of communication with the Head of Security and their team

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in the same role, or similar
  • Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
