THE RITZ LONDON OVERVIEW


Conceived by famous hotelier César Ritz in May 1906, with the aim of becoming the ultimate destination for guests looking to stay at the most luxurious hotel in the land, no expense was spared on its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Kitchen brigade as a Pastry Commis Chef.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be committed to assisting the Pastry Chef de Partie in daily preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. As a Pastry Commis Chef, responsibilities also include:

  • To be fully conversant with all hotel menus, in particular items which are the responsibility of your section and of their recipes and quantities
  • To produce food as directed by the Chef de Partie and to present it at the times required
  • To ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards as required by the hotel
  • To work in close liaison with all sections within the Kitchen to ensure an efficient service
  • To carry out any reasonable request direct by the Executive Chef

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
