POSITION OVERVIEW

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Kitchen Brigade at The Ritz London as a Night Chef.

The successful candidate will be fully conversant with the In Room Dining, Staff Restaurant and Breakfast menus, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of overnight dining to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation at all times.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and managing stock levels as directed by the Sous Chefs at the start and end of each shift, assisting with the preparation of meals for the Staff Restaurant, and ensuring all mise en place for the Breakfast Team and Main Kitchen is completed and ready for service. The Night Chef will maintain clear and effective communication with the Breakfast Team, In Room Dining, Sous Chefs and Back of House departments to support a seamless operation.

A thorough understanding of food safety standards and allergen awareness is essential, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and the highest levels of guest care at all times

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualification in Culinary arts, degree standard or similar preferred 
  • Relevant experience in a Five-star property of fine dining restaurant is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and allergen awareness is essential
