THE RITZ LONDON OVERVIEW


Conceived by famous hotelier César Ritz in May 1906, with the aim of becoming the ultimate destination for guests looking to stay at the most luxurious hotel in the land, no expense was spared on its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings.

In January 2002, The Ritz received a Royal Warrant for Banqueting and Catering Services. Awarded by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, becoming the first, and only hotel to have been honoured with this prestigious award. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant Receptionist to join our 1 Michelin Star restaurant brigade. The Ritz Restaurant has been voted the most beautiful restaurant in Europe and offers the most luxurious dining experience since the hotel first open its doors in 1906.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be committed to (insert fundamental task – e.g. delivering exceptional service to our guests while maintaining The Ritz London’s 5-star luxury standards). As a (Insert Position Name), responsibilities also include:

  • To meet and greet at the entrance of the restaurant (arrival and departure)
  • To ensure all guests are greeted and offered assistance in a polite friendly and appropriate manner
  • To ensure that incoming telephone calls are answered adhering to The Ritz Telephone Standards
  • Ensure menus are printed, corrected and menu folders are maintained in perfect condition
  • Liaise directly with William Kent House Administration Office on Group and Events Bookings 
  • Ensure all reservations are taken according to The Ritz Restaurant Standards; ensure that all details are repeated to the guest and clearly noted

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
