Conceived by famous hotelier César Ritz in May 1906, with the aim of becoming the ultimate destination for guests looking to stay at the most luxurious hotel in the land, no expense was spared on its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings.

In January 2002, The Ritz received a Royal Warrant for Banqueting and Catering Services. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Waiter to join our 1-Michelin Star restaurant brigade. The Ritz Restaurant has been voted the most beautiful restaurant in Europe and offers the most luxurious dining experience since the hotel first open its doors in 1906.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Ritz Restaurant as Head Waiter.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional service to our guests while maintaining The Ritz London’s 5-star luxury standards. As a Head Waiter, responsibilities also include:

  • To be fully conversant with the à la Carte and Du Jour menu items; including their ingredients, presentation, accompaniments and availability
  • At the appropriate time, take the guests’ food orders, recommend specialties and up sell
  • Place the order in the Micros terminal and ensure the kitchen has relevant hand written information pertaining to the table
  • To liaise with the Restaurant Sommelier in order to ensure that all correct drinks charges have been made before presenting the guest with the bill
  • To respond promptly to the service needs of the guest in a polite and helpful manner


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
  • Previous experience in Fine-Dining or Michelin-star restaurant is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
