As the General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations. Your role encompasses day-to-day staff management, guest interactions, and strategic planning. You are not just a manager; you are an ambassador for our brand and our hotel. Your leadership will shape the service culture, maximize operations, and elevate guest satisfaction. Live-in available.
What you’ll be doing:
· Guest Relations: Meet and greet guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
· Brand Ambassador: Promote and market the business to attract new and returning guests.
· Team Leadership: Interview, recruit, train, and manage staff while fostering a positive work environment.
· Efficient Operations: Plan work schedules for individuals and teams, optimising productivity.
· Guest Satisfaction: Address and resolve guest complaints and comments, ensuring a memorable stay.
· Event Coordination: Oversee events and conferences, ensuring seamless execution.
· Property Management: Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings to maintain our hotel's charm.
· Safety and Security: Ensure effective hotel security measures are in place.
· Financial Stewardship: Review staffing levels, maximize revenue opportunities and manage budgets effectively.
· Profit Growth: Devise strategies to minimize financial risk and achieve sales and profit targets.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations, including sanitary and food safety guidelines.
· Supplier Relations: Handle supplier issues, negotiate prices for quality and control the budget.
· Documentation: Maintain organised files of contracts, insurance policies, employees, expenses and more.
· Team Engagement: Lead monthly team meetings and regular briefings to align the team with our vision.
The right candidate will have:
· Experience: Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry is a must.
· Leadership: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues.
· Financial Acumen: Budget management experience and the ability to maximize revenue and control costs.
· Communication: Effective communication skills and a passion for guest satisfaction.
· Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory compliance, especially in the food and hospitality sector.
