Job Title: Doorman
Job Description:
• Assist our guests checking in and out of the hotel
• Help to keep front hall orderly and the driveway clear of traffic
• Represent the hotel through excellence in guest service at all times
• Be aware of daily agenda and any V.I.P. arrivals.
• Be aware of special promotions in order to increase in-house sales and revenue
• Assist guests with luggage, using correct lifting and carrying procedures
• Ensure the security of guest luggage, keys etc
• At all times, take care of own health and safety and that of others while you are at work
• Ensure that all accidents or near accidents caused by hazards are reported to the Duty Manager
• Use tact and diplomacy when dealing with guest comments and know when to refer to senior management
• Have a sound product knowledge of the hotel, it’s facilities, layout, tariff structure and local amenities
• Be able to give directions and know how to read maps, timetables etc
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
• To ensure you arrive on duty at the correct time and in the correct uniform, which must be kept clean and well maintained at all times
• Organise delivery and retrieval of guest vehicles from garage
Proven Experience/Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in the Hospitality Industry as a Doorman
• Proven experience as a Doorman in a 5* luxury hotel
• Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
• A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organisation
• Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships
with others
• Proven organisational skills, works well on their own. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
