We are The Seafood Bar. We're a family-owned business, and have 4 locations in Amsterdam & Utrecht and are opening our first UK restaurant, in Dean St. Soho.
About the job
As part of the culinary team you are responsible for the highlight of a Seafood Bar experience: which is the food! As a kitchen assistant you support the culinary team mainly with the preparations (mise en place), preparing the sides and simple dishes, and with the cleaning of the kitchen. We do not require (much) kitchen experience for the position of kitchen assistant, since we will train you and if necessary, we will teach you the basics.
A consistently great quality is extremely important to us. Therefore, it is imperative that you, together with your colleagues, make sure that every single item that leaves the kitchen is up to our standards. Hence, following our recipes and guidelines for presentation is a must.

You live in London and have a legal right to work in the UK;
You are a passionate and hardworking person who is eager to learn;
You will make sure that standards are met always;
You will make sure to follow all the regulations regarding hygiene and food safety (HACCP);
You will make sure that the kitchen is cleaned properly always;
Flexibility: you don’t have a 9 to 5 mentality and you don’t mind working on weekends;
The ability to speak and write at least English fluently.

Originating in Holland, The Seafood Bar was started in 2012 by the De Visscher family, Burgundian fishmongers, passionate only about the freshest and tastiest seafood.
The Seafood Bar is for people who enjoy life! You can indulge in oysters and cocktails, or just go for the simple fish & chips. We want to offer our guests a fantastic experience in a cozy, casual setting. It's our dream to provide our guests incredible seafood, and we're living that dream.
Sustainability is something the family feels very strongly about. Together with the suppliers, MSC and MSA certified fish is selected whenever possible. The kitchens also ensure that the whole fish is used, so there is no waste.
We have 250 staff working for us in Holland and we are excited to be welcoming London based staff into our family!
