We have a fantastic opportunity available as Pastry Chef at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow.

As Pastry Chef you will support the pastry section in our large kitchen, helping to prepare some of Rick Stein's most popular desserts for guests dining at the restaurant. You'll work alongside Stuart Pate, our Head Pastry Chef and you will have the opportunity to learn all the skills you'll need to progress your career as a pastry chef.

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for great food who is looking to grow within a supportive team. As Pastry Chef you’ll spend your day preparing ingredients and wowing our guests through the food we serve. You’ll be dedicated to maintaining our high standards and motivated to learn and take pride in your work.

This is a full time role with the opportunity to progress your career within the team. The rate of pay for this role is £8.72 per hour (£8.20 if you are under 25) plus a share of service charge.


WHAT YOU’LL BE GETTING UP TO

- Preparing and cooking food by following Rick’s recipes
- Supporting the pastry section and working with the Head Pastry Chef
- Understanding allergens and where they are found within our dishes
- Actively looking for ways to improve your skills and cooking techniques
- Learning about our products by attending master classes and supplier visits


KEY SKILLS

- A passion for food
- Ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrating strong company and menu knowledge


The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
