What you’ll be doing
• Preparing and producing high-quality desserts
• Following recipes and specifications to ensure consistency across service
• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering smooth, successful
services
• Ensuring all desserts are presented beautifully and to brand standards
• Maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety practices
• Managing stock, labelling, rotation, and minimising waste in the pastry
section
• Learning and developing new pastry techniques and skills
• Supporting the training and mentoring of junior kitchen team members
• Contributing creative ideas for dessert menus, specials, and seasonal items
What we’re looking for
• Previous experience in a pastry or professional kitchen
role
• A passion for baking, desserts, and high-quality ingredients
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• A team player who thrives in a busy, professional kitchen
• Willingness to learn, develop, and progress within the kitchen brigade
• Organised, calm, and reliable under pressure
• Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude

The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
