Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman/woman to join out team and assist in the upkeep of our venues.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, painting and carpentry.  conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and promptly address issues.
• Repair and maintain equipment and machinery as needed.
• Assist with fixtures, appliances and furnishings.
• Responds promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of maintenance of equipment and storage areas.
• Perform manual labour and heavy lifting as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance person or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic repair and maintenance techniques.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour and heavy lifting
• Flexibility to work weekends when needed and respond to maintenance requests outside of regular hours on rare occasions.
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
