What You’ll Do:

As a Prep Cook, you will play a key role in food preparation to ensure that every dish meets The Sicilian Butcher’s high standards of quality and flavor. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Following prep lists created by the Kitchen Manager to organize daily duties.
  • Labeling, stocking, and organizing ingredients for easy access and efficiency.
  • Measuring and preparing ingredients such as vegetables, meats, seasonings, and sauces.
  • Undertaking basic cooking duties including reducing sauces, blanching, and portioning food.
  • Assembling simple dishes such as salads and appetizers.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper food storage.
  • Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or upper management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • 4+ years of prep cook experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A team-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills.
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.
