The Sicilian Butcher is a chef-driven, modern-casual concept inspired by Italian tradition and the art of the meatball. Brought to life by celebrity chef Joey Maggiore and the team behind Tomaso’s, Hash Kitchen, The Mexicano, and The Sicilian Baker, our restaurants combine scratch-made Italian cuisine, craft cocktails, and warm, authentic hospitality. We’re opening a brand-new location in San Antonio and are looking for passionate leaders to join our growing team.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager, you’ll work directly with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to help oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. You’ll set the tone for service, support team development, and drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Your Day-to-Day
Assist in the execution of daily restaurant operations
Lead by example in providing exceptional guest service
Support team training, coaching, and performance development
Oversee restaurant cleanliness and organization
Ensure all food and beverage meet The Sicilian Butcher’s standards
Monitor speed of service and drive transaction efficiency
Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and weekly reporting
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Uphold all company policies and the spirit of “Italian hospitality”
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience in high-volume, full-service restaurant management
Current food handler certification or ability to obtain one
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Passion for hospitality, quality, and creating memorable guest experiences
Reliable, positive, punctual, and ready to grow with a dynamic team
