Description

The Sicilian Butcher is a modern-casual, chef-driven Italian concept from celebrity chef Joey Maggiore, the creative force behind Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Baker, The Mexicano, and Tomaso’s. Known for house-made meatballs, fresh pastas, and scratch cooking, we're bringing our signature flavors and hospitality to San Antonio—and we’re hiring Line Cooks to help us launch with excellence.

Why Join The Sicilian Butcher?
  • Be part of a new restaurant opening and help build something special from day one

  • Learn from a chef-driven, scratch kitchen that values quality and craft

  • Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with growth opportunities

  • Competitive hourly pay and flexible scheduling

  • Opportunities to grow within a rapidly expanding restaurant group

What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you’ll be responsible for executing high-quality dishes with precision, consistency, and speed. You’ll be part of a culinary team that takes pride in preparing scratch-made food and creating memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas

  • Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  • Communicate clearly with team members and follow kitchen leadership direction

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Assist with prep, inventory, and kitchen closing duties as needed

What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ year of experience in a line cook or back-of-house role preferred

  • Passion for cooking and working with quality ingredients

  • Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety

  • Ability to stay calm and organized during busy shifts

  • Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
