The Sicilian Butcher is a chef-driven, modern Italian concept by celebrity chef Joey Maggiore, creator of beloved restaurants like Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Baker, Tomaso’s, and The Mexicano. Known for scratch-made pastas, craft cocktails, and signature meatballs, we’re bringing our bold hospitality and flavors to San Antonio—and we’re looking for friendly, organized Hosts to welcome guests with warmth and energy from Day One.

What You’ll Do as a Host

As a Host at The Sicilian Butcher, you’re the first and last impression our guests receive. You’ll greet guests with a warm smile, manage seating flow, and ensure every guest feels welcomed and taken care of from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and with genuine enthusiasm

  • Manage reservations and walk-ins using a host stand system or app

  • Quote accurate wait times and manage the flow of the dining room

  • Communicate clearly with servers and managers to ensure efficient seating

  • Answer phones and assist with to-go orders, event inquiries, or general questions

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front entrance

  • Provide a positive and professional first impression for every guest


What We’re Looking For

  • Friendly, outgoing personality and guest-first attitude

  • Strong communication and time management skills

  • Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience in hosting, retail, or front desk roles is a plus

  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
