The Sicilian Butcher is a chef-driven, modern Italian restaurant from celebrity chef Joey Maggiore—the creative mind behind Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Baker, Tomaso’s, and The Mexicano. Known for our scratch-made cuisine, bold flavors, and signature hospitality, we’re bringing our unique concept to San Antonio, and we’re looking for Baristas to help us launch with energy, style, and warm Italian charm.

What You’ll Do as a Barista

As a Barista at The Sicilian Butcher, you’ll create memorable moments for guests with every handcrafted drink. You’ll work closely with the front-of-house and pastry teams to maintain a fast, clean, and welcoming café-style environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and serve espresso, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with consistency and speed

  • Operate espresso machines and brewing equipment with care and precision

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with drink or pastry recommendations

  • Support pastry and dessert counter operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station and pastry case

  • Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards

  • Work closely with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and flow


What We’re Looking For

  • Prior barista or coffee service experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person

  • Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused personality

  • Ability to multitask in a busy, high-volume setting

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail

  • Basic food handling and sanitation knowledge a plus

  • Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
