Service Director

The Spaniard, a classic New York corner tavern in the West Village, is looking to grow our management team!

THE ROLE:
As Service Director, you will help oversee daily operations for The Spaniard. This key leader will uphold The Spaniard’s standards of excellence in all areas including service standards, coaching, workplace culture, and guest relations.

WHO YOU ARE:

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktails
• An approachable and intelligent leader who can coach, manage, and inspire a large and diverse team
• Passionate about training and mentoring
• Excellent verbal and written/digital communication skills
• Self-starter who is results-oriented and who appreciates and takes initiative on both the essential details and the bigger picture
• Team player with a roll up your sleeves attitude
• Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution
• Full availability, including nights and weekends

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Hands-on management of day-to-day operations of The Spaniard
• Take the lead on upholding service standards, training, and employee education
• Developing and implementing new training materials and protocols
• Help oversee the FOH and BOH teams, working floor shifts creating a positive work environment, driving sales, motivating the team, and creating exceptional guest experiences
• Foster a dynamic, enjoyable, and inclusive culture
• Maintain quality and standards of The Spaniard’s culture, food, drink, service, and atmosphere
