The Spaniard, is seeking talented management staff to join our growing family.

We are a full-service bar & restaurant, focusing on an extensive selection of Scotch and whiskey, the best quality food, cocktails and hospitality.

What We Are Looking For:
Experienced candidates who are focused on teamwork and looking for a position with unlimited potential for growth in an exciting environment.
Ideal candidates will be front of house focused, have strong decision-making skills and experience working with a diverse clientele; individuals who have previously held leadership rolls and understand basic bar and restaurant dynamics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you should expect to:
• Positively represent The Spaniard in all aspects of your job
• Provide the best service possible, focused on converting one-time visits to new regulars
• Handle all aspect of guest experience, including correcting concerns that may arise and guarantee positive interactions
• Be a presence during service. Lead team members by example, and be able to confidently jump in wherever, whenever needed
• Effectively communicate with the rest of the management team, attend weekly meetings and provide accurate daily recaps
• Ensure all cost control procedures are followed; including discounts, voids, staff breaks and out times. Always balancing labor costs without sacrificing guest service.
• Preempt issues before they impact service. Monitor all guests and team members, exercise good judgment and implement best practices to resolve issues

Skills & Requirements
• A strong knowledge of liquor, wine, beer & cocktails
• 3 - 5 years of management experience (NYC preferred)
• Full availability including late night, weekend and holidays
• Familiarity with common bar and restaurant standards and practices
• Ability to manage a team of over 20
• Must be an excellent communicator.
• Must have or obtain Food Handler/Food Protection-certified and TIPS certification within 6 months of employment
