We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Planner & Analyst to join our team at The Stafford Collection.

About the role, what will I be doing?

You will be responsible for financial planning and modelling commercial analysis and supporting commercial business decision. You will report directly to Group Finance Director but will support executive decisions on behalf of The Stafford Collection team. You will:

·       Work with Group Finance Director to model the longer-term financial outlook and ambition: 3 – 5-year financial projections with the capability to model ‘what-if’ scenarios and sensitivity, investment and cash/debt planning

·       Consolidating the Norma plans for the combined Stafford Collection entity

·       Lead the execution of our CRM approach ensuring our activities are appropriate to the business and linked to a longer-term road map; ensuring database tools are used to maximum impact

·       Develop strategy with the Marketing Director and Finance Director

·       Lead the analysis of CRM activity to ensure learning are adopted

·       Develop business cases for specific investments, refurbishment projects and any new restaurant openings; review of investment performance and identify learning

·       Develop commercial analysis to support menu development; support the development and application of pricing strategy

·       Ensure new menu decisions are based on rigorous commercial analysis and support growth in categories and spend

·       Lead the analysis of menu performance with support from Head Chef, Operations Director & Marketing team

·       Develop business cases for other revenue-generating or cost-saving initiatives on an ad hoc basis; includes, but is not limited to, IT investment cases, small wares investment

·       Take a leading role in influencing sales-driving ethos – creating a culture of commerciality and accountability and ensuring a business case approach is adopted for all activity; support the sales-driving meetings, drive accountability through the operations, food and marketing teams

·       Assist the core finance team in identifying business trends and building reports

·       Ad hoc support to FD and other members of the finance and The Stafford Collection management team, as required

·       Continually develop reporting processes and systems to ensure key business factors are identified and analysed; implement control systems, e.g. inventory management, labor planning, scheduling and cost management, weekly flash P&L and review process that links to the monthly P&L, report on KPI information that is timely, accurate and actionable, centralized group cash management & forecasting

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have previous restaurant/hospitality experience   
  • Degree educated, qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA) with relevant work based technical experience
  • Preferably 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness as well as an excellent understanding of the hospitality industry
  • Multi-site retail or restaurant experience an advantage
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced Excel capability, strong all around modelling skills and ability to adapt quickly to data tools.
