An exciting new opportunity has arisen for someone to join the People & Culture team as Assistant People & Culture Manager.  We are looking for someone who wants to take their next step and has experience and are motivated to take the next move and learn more, whilst becoming part of our team at The Stafford London Hotel. 

The Assistant People & Culture Manager will be responsible to support the Group Director of People & Culture and the P&C team with all People related initiatives to ensure that all of our colleagues are engaged, well-trained, happy and Brand Ambassadors for The Stafford London. 

You will lead by example in all that you do and say as a leader within the People & Culture team and will manage the day-to-day activities of P&C department, whilst the Group Director of P&C will be on hand to support you.  

You will provide management and support to the hotel and management teams in their day-to-day activities of employee relations, recruitment, training, mediation, administration and budgetary aspects.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in as a HR Executive or Senior HR Officer in a luxury hotel is desirable
  • CIPD qualified
  • Previous experience using Fourth & Harri is essential
  • Previous experience leading and managing a team
  • Highly organised, multitasking individual with a positive attitude & a team player
  • Ability to manage varying needs and prioritising to ensure the best results for the team and business
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as well as discretion
  • An exceptional attention to detail is also required as is a flexible attitude when it comes to working time as the role which is primarily Monday to Friday, and may on occasions require evening or weekend working
  • Effective written communication skills including the ability to present and prepare reports
  • Team and Guest focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Creative and able to use your own initiative
