As Staff Canteen Chef you will play a key part in supporting the day to day running of the Staff Restaurant Kitchen.


You will be in charge of preparing healthy and nutritious lunch and dinner dishes for our Colleagues and creating superb dining experience.


Objectives:


  • To work closely with the Kitchen team in order to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes
  • To support the Kitchen Team in managing daily operational and qualitative aspects in the kitchen
  • Develop a professional relationship with other members of staff
  • Develop a palate and an understanding of the produce we use

Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:


  • Responsible for cost control in line with the team’s business plan
  • Menu planning - Themed events
  • To be responsible for ensuring all daily administrative work is completed in a timely manner
  • Prepare and cook food for all staff members in our staff restaurant (up to 150 staff members)
  • Come up with new and exciting dishes for our staff to enjoy
  • Liaise with the chefs on food prep and ordering
  • Keep the staff restaurant clean and tidy
  • Ordering and stock control management
  • Follow standard recipes and minimise waste to help ensure the food cost is in line with budget
  • Knowledge of seasonal and new products on the market
  • To display correctly the allergen information regarding all dishes served on a daily basis
  • To adhere to all Food Hygiene Practices and procedures
  • To assist the Kitchen team with daily inspection of the physical aspects of all kitchen areas, cold rooms and equipment
  • To carry out any reasonable tasks requested by the Senior Management
