We are currently looking for an experienced Pastry Commis Chef to join our team at The Stafford London Hotel.

About the role, what will I be doing?


Pastry Commis Chef will be working closely with the Pastry Kitchen team in order to assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of produce. You will support the Kitchen Team in managing daily operational and qualitative aspects in the kitchen. You will:

·       Be responsible for the quality of food in your section

·       Support the Kitchen team in all aspects of food production and presentation according to the established standards consistently

·       Ensure that the equipment, utensils and working areas are kept clean and in good working order all the time

·       Keep the kitchen team constantly informed on all food related stock item levels in accordance with business levels

·       Produce, in good time, all dishes to the agreed specifications and profitability

·       Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results

·       Make yourself available for company training to help management to continually improve the skill base in the kitchen

·       Adhere to all Food Hygiene Practices and procedures

·       Assist the Kitchen team with daily inspection of the physical aspects of all kitchen areas, cold rooms and equipment

·       Passionate multitasking individual with a great personality and positive energy

·       Understanding of flavours balance, a passion for food and your own development is a must

·       Excellent knowledge of ingredients, allergens and adherence to all Food Safety and hygiene standards

·       Positive and kind attitude in the kitchen; strong team ethics

·       Good command of English language

·       And most importantly have passion for hospitality and willingness to learn.
