Your responsibilities will include:

  • To be responsible for the quality of desserts, afternoon teas in the pastry section
  • To support the pastry team in all aspects of food production and presentation according to the established standards consistently

  • To ensure that the equipment, utensils and working areas are kept clean and in good working order all the time

  • To ensure that the pastry section is always organised to meet business demands

  • To keep the pastry team constantly informed on all food related stock item levels in accordance with business level

  • To produce, in good time, all dishes to the agreed specifications and profitability

  • Promote a positive attitude and display the ability to ‘make things happen’ to achieve or exceed anticipated results

  • To make yourself available for company trainings to help management to continually improve the skill base in the kitchen

  • To adhere to all Food Hygiene Practises and procedure.

  • To assist the pastry team with daily inspection of the physical aspects of all kitchen areas, cold rooms and equipment
