We are looking for a Reception Manager (12 months maternity cover) to join our team at The Stafford Hotel.

The Reception Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the reception area. This role involves supervising the team of receptionists, ensuring efficient guest interactions, and maintaining a welcoming and organised environment. The Reception Manager plays a pivotal role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the overall positive impression of the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise, and train the team of receptionists, delegating tasks and providing support as required.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of the reception area during operating hours.
  • Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Handle inquiries, provide information, and assist with various requests.
  • Monitor the appearance and cleanliness of the reception area and common spaces.
  • Ensure reception supplies, such as brochures, forms, and office materials, are well-stocked.
  • Oversee check-in/check-out procedures and enforce security protocols.
  • Handle unexpected situations and emergencies with professionalism and composure.
  • Confidently resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the reception area.

Qualities we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel working with a PMS (Opera) system is essential
  • Previous supervisory and leadership experience
  • Highly organized, multitasking individual with a positive attitude & a team player
  • Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure the best business results
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as is the observance of discretion at all times due to the high sensitivity of the information handled
  • An exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to guests.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
