Banqueting Waiter
DescriptionThe Banqueting Waiter/ress position requires a charismatic guest orientated salesperson with great attention to detail, to serve food and drinks to guests and prepare the event in accordance with RCH standards
.
Key responsibilities of the Banqueting Waiter will include:
• Ensuring all setups and preparations are completed a day ahead of the event in accordance with the function sheet specifications
• Ensuring that mise en place is done in accordance with outlet standard
• Providing service to guests in accordance with outlet service journey and company service culture
• Handling operating equipment in accordance with company standards ensuring minimal breakages
• Ensuring that all revenue is accounted for by practicing the “swipe before you serve” principle for all transactions
The ideal candidate for the Banqueting Waiter should:
• Have Grade 12 Certificate
• Have at least 2 years’ experience in a 4/5* banqueting or events environments
• Have been exposed to a Point of Sales System (Micros - advantageous)
• Have good command of the English Language with solid knowledge of hospitality vocabulary
• Be highly presentable
• Be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
