Ready for your first step into kitchen management?
We're looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the team at The Wayfarer.
The Wayfarer in Stone is a much-loved gastropub where everyone's welcome to
pull up a chair – known for its Sunday roasts with proper Yorkshire puddings
and its beautiful Coral Room. Our kitchen mixes pub favourites with the chef's
international dishes, plus a rotating 'Throwbacks' menu of past favourites.
Here's what we offer:
• Up to £14.00 per hour (Approx. £1,790 every 4-weeks or £23,300 pa)
• Shared Service charge (Avg. £5,820 pa)
• Total Potential Package = £29,120 per year
• Part time – 32 hours a week: solid, regular hours with a better work-life
balance
• Your first step into kitchen management, fully supported
The role
You'll work alongside your Head Chef and Sous Chef to run great services, keep
standards high and start building the leadership skills to take your career
further.
What you'll be doing:
• Running sections and supporting the pass during busy services
• Cooking our menus to spec, every time
• Helping to train and support chefs and KPs
• Getting involved in ordering, stock and food safety
What we're looking for:
• Strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous experience
• Calm, organised and great with people
• Passion for food and high standards
• Hungry to learn and progress to Sous Chef
