Sous Chef  - Seasonal Menu - Gastro Pub - up to £38k + Bonus and Benefits - South West London

In the heart of Tooting Bec you’ll find The Wheatsheaf, a proper local with excellent British pub food and a great range of craft beers. There’s regular live sport on the screens plus live music and comedy nights. With three private rooms to host meetings, parties and other events, this is an amazing opportunity for a people and food focused Sous Chef to join our kitchen.

Our priority lies in quality seasonal British food, we source ingredients and produce from the best suppliers to bring you a great selection of British pub classics that won’t disappoint. Our gastro menu influenced by our chefs is perfect for every occasion and there’s always something on the menu for everyone.


You Are:

  • Able to take responsibility for the kitchen team to ensure service, safety and security expectations are all met to the the highest of standards
  • Passionate about training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to excite our customers and deliver outstanding food
  • Able to work with the Head Chef to train and uphold the agreed standards
  • Able to prepare and present all our food dishes to an outstanding standard of presentation as appropriate for the day of the week and time of day
  • Able to support in the development, implementation and review of the menu to maximise sales in line with pub vision and business plan
